We need fluoride each and every day so we can prevent tooth decay and other dental issues. However, many of us don’t receive the amount of fluoride we truly need. So, make sure you take advantage of our fluoride treatment when you come into our office as well as use fluoride toothpaste and mouthwash every day at home.
· Quit smoking: Smoking can put you at a great risk of developing lung and oral cancer, but it can also put you at a great risk of developing gum disease, tooth decay, and tooth loss. So, the best thing you can do for your smile and for your overall health is to kick the smoking habit.
· Visit your dentist: It is vital that you visit your dentist every six months for a routine cleaning and exam. These appointments will help you professionally clean your smile and will also prevent and treat major dental issues.
These four things will help you feel good, stay healthy, and look great throughout your life. Taking care of your smile can do wonderful things for your oral health as well as your appearance.
